SILVERLITE HORSE TRAILERS

SilverLite Trailers, Inc. is a small company with a big heart located in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. When you order a SilverLite, you can rest assured that it was built with our company principles of quality, service and affordability. Trailers are actively inspected by owners of SilverLite Trailers before it leaves our factory lot - just another example of our personal relationships with our customers and our high degree of accountability with our products.

We build our entire horse trailer and living quarters lines at our headquarters and factory in Springfield, OR. Our skilled team is dedicated to producing a top-quality trailer to meet your needs and desires. This means that every component of your trailer fits together perfectly. The majority of manufacturers send out their living quarters or sections of their trailers to off-site contractors, meaning that the components aren't made together. This can often result in problems like leaks and shorts in the wiring. Another benefit of having your trailer built on-site is the increased ability for customization. No pre-made conversions here! SilverLite can customize your horse area, tack room and living quarters. Just bring your specific request to us and we'll work to meet your needs and exceed your expectations.

Standard Features:
We take pride in our fit-and-finish craftsmanship and attention to detail with our trailers. Take a look at some of our specialty standard features below or call us with any questions.
  • One-piece aluminum roof: SilverLite Trailers uses a one-piece aluminum roof for improved water resistance. We don't use composite materials as we believe the all aluminum one-piece design is the best choice for quality, durability and leak resistance.
  • Welded axles: SilverLite welds the axles to the frame of the trailer for safety and for improved tracking and alignment. Our axles are rubber torsion suspension axles to help with cushioning bumps, pot holes or rough spots in the road with less bouncing. The rubber torsion suspension works independently for each wheel, which means that road impact that affects one side of the trailer aren't transferred to the other side. This results in both a smoother ride and less wear on the horse, trailer, tow vehicle and driver.
  • Notched rear rubber dock bumper: SilverLite pays special attention to your animal's safety by notching the 3" rear rubber dock bumper so that the rear door latch and cams are recessed to prevent injury by a hoof catching during loading or unloading. This type of attention to detail is what has made SilverLite a name to be trusted in the industry.
  • Smooth aluminum interior: All of our seams are smoothed out to avoid injury from sharp edges. We take the extra time to make sure your animal's safety is our number one priority at SilverLite Trailers.
  • Recessed roof vents: SilverLite Trailers recesses our roof vents to prevent animals from catching a sharp edge or hurting themselves. There is one vent per stall for air flow and circulation.
  • Built-in travel grills: We make sure your animal can't stick their head out of the window and risk injury during transit by building travel grills on all of our drop-down feed doors.
  • Our flooring: SilverLite features a 1/8" aluminum flooring supported on 4" I-beams with 9" centers for incredible strength and durability. Look under "their" trailer, our I-beams are bigger and placed closer together, this means your floor is stronger, safer and will wear better than our competition. In addition to placing our I-beams closer, we also run two flat bar straps under the I-beams to prevent twisting.
  • Hold-opens: All of our exterior doors come with a hold-open to prevent movement that could spook an animal during loading. If a door doesn't have hold-opens it can swing around in the wind and could even injury someone or an animal.
  • Gooseneck structure: SilverLite employs an A-frame hitch that utilizes the superior strength of powder-coated steel to tie the hitch, gooseneck deck, lower bunk wall, and landing gear into “the best darn gooseneck in the industry.” Take a look at what is out there and we feel you will agree.
